Salutations! My name is Sean Alexander Kaiulani Chun. In this blog I am going to share a little bit about my progress in my GameDevHQ Internship. First, I will share a video on my progress after completing the “Health Collectable” Challenge in the “Phase 1: Framework” Section of the GameDevHQ 2D Development Course. Second, I will share a little bit about my approach to the “Secondary Fire Powerup” Challenge in the “Phase 1: Framework” Section of the GameDevHQ 2D Development Course. Lastly, I will share about how I started using Coroutines more creatively.

I just shared with you what I will be sharing with you in this blog. Now, I will share a video on my progress after completing the “Health Collectable” Challenge in the “Phase 1: Framework” Section of the GameDevHQ 2D Development Course:

I just shared with you a video on my progress after completing the “Health Collectable” Challenge in the “Phase 1: Framework” Section of the GameDevHQ 2D Development Course. Now, I will share a little bit about my approach to the “Secondary Fire Powerup” Challenge in the “Phase 1: Framework” Section of the GameDevHQ 2D Development Course.

Second, my approach to the “Secondary Fire Powerup” Challenge is to be creative with the tools I currently have. I browsed the “Unity Asset Store” for any free assets and did not find any that were a good fit. After some consideration I have landed on an oldie but goodie. I will repurpose a few of the features and functions that I have already used with some slight adjustments.

I just shared with you a little bit about my approach to the “Secondary Fire Powerup” Challenge in the “Phase 1: Framework” Section of the GameDevHQ 2D Development Course. Now, I will share about how I started using Coroutines more creatively.

Lastly, when I first learned coroutines I was did not realize how often they are actually necessary. I went over the the “Coroutine(IEnumerator)” Section in the “Unity C# Survival Guide” which was very helpful. When I created both the“ ”Ammo Count” Display and the “Health Collectable” Icon, I used coroutines to create my own animations. I though it was clever to use coroutines this way because I discovered it organically, but I am certain that I am not the only one.

I just shared with you about I will share about how I started using Coroutines more creatively. Now, this concludes what I will be sharing with you in this blog. I look forward to sharing more about my progress in my GameDevHQ Internship soon.

Thank you.
